AQUABLUE is proud to introduce Timothy Kim, Service Delivery Manager. Since Tim joined the team, he has been an asset in managing the full life cycle of the client’s delivery process, as well as leading the service delivery provided by various carriers. Tim works within AQUABLUE to assist the NOC team with any issues that may arise after services have been installed.
Tim attended Rutgers University of Engineering where he studied mechanical engineering. He started his career in telecommunications as a part-time call center representative while he was attending high school, and continued this path as an intern at that same company during his college years. He felt strongly that being in the telecom industry was where he belonged and was a natural fit, which led him to accept a job offer as a NOC/Field Engineer. Tim was committed to staying up to date with the latest trends, which led to him accepting an offer to join AQUABLUE as a Service Delivery Manager. Tim’s innate leadership skills drove his achievement of migrating old TDM based Voice infrastructure to VOLP soft switch and Voice Cloud Carrier infrastructure. He also managed the full relocation of a project that included 8,000 concurrent calls, over 100 million monthly minutes usage, and over 150 vendors that had to transfer from existing systems to a new platform.
Tim finds his job extremely rewarding, managing global projects for Fortune 100/500 customers while being a trusted advocate to deliver their services. He’s proud to work for a company that provides white-glove services for customers and offers comprehensive design solutions. Tim believes in AQUABLUE’s Design-to-Simplify vision, which benefits our customers by offering oversight of all carriers and services by the AQUABLUE team in a single invoice and point of contact.
Tim knows that customers want larger bandwidth, faster connectivity, and cost-efficient services which enable technology to evolve quickly. He also knows that there’s a lot to learn in this fast-growing industry to start a career in telecom. Tim’s advice for any up and coming talent in the telecom industry is to stay informed on the latest trends and developments, and that understanding your customer needs is key to succeeding.
Tim’s goal for 2022 is to further refine internal processes and templates to enhance the delivery process and customer experience. He is also looking to complete a certificate program in project management. In his free time, Tim enjoys spending time with his family and snowboarding.
