Throughout his career, Byron has built deep expertise in telecommunications. When asked where he sees the industry going in 2023, he said “I believe that the implementation of satellite internet will be a big boon to subsidizing the issues occurring with the subsea cabling system.”
The AQUABLUE NOC team is the first line of defense in responding to incidents, and if his team encounters an issue with which they need assistance, it gets escalated to Byron. He truly appreciates the diversity of his daily experience at AQUABLUE, where working with outages and network crashes makes each day unique thanks in part to the AQUABLUE customized client model. Spanning departments and clients, his position gives him exposure to all aspects of the business plus issue resolution beyond merely network operations.
Byron strongly believes that the team he works with is the biggest reason why he enjoys his job so much, thriving on both the interaction with his co-workers and the ways the company respects its employees: through support of professional and personal growth; recognition of accomplishments and successes; and championing of hard work and dedication. He feels empowered to lead the NOC center knowing he has the full support of the management team behind him.
Outside work, Byron is a true family man who loves spending time with his wife and three children. He also enjoys flying drones and attending the dine-in movie theater as a favorite family outing. One of Byron’s favorite memories with AQUABLUE was their annual Employee Gathering on the Jersey Shore, offering the opportunity for co-workers and all their families to bond and spend time together, noting that “It was a nice change of scenery for my family and me, coming all the way from Georgia.”
